Following our recent International Women’s Day event, we’ve worked in collaboration with Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) to bring together a practical guide for mortgage brokers.
Economic abuse can be difficult to spot and often sits behind what looks like a complex or unusual case. In many situations, it only becomes visible during key moments such as a separation, remortgage or property sale, when financial control can directly affect a client’s options.
This guide is designed to help you recognise some of the signs, respond appropriately and understand where specialist support is available, while staying within your role as a broker.
You can download the guide below, and listen to the full conversation from the event in our podcast, where Surviving Economic Abuse share practical insight into how this shows up in real mortgage cases and what to look out for.
